Dragon Medical Practice Edition Announcement
(Dragon Medical 10.1 Upgrade Announcement)
We wanted to let you know that Nuance Communications (NUAN-Burlington, Mass.) has just announced the anticipated release of Dragon Medical Practice Edition-which is the new name for the Dragon Medical product for the under 25 physicians practice marketplace. We have posted new product information here.
Starting with Dragon Medical Practice Edition the "older version number system" is being discontinued. The Dragon Medical Practice Edition initial product release is in effect Dragon Medical 11, and Nuance Communications is going to be discontinuing the separate Dragon Medical Small Practice and Dragon Medical product(s), and will now have only the one product SKU.
There are a host of new and exciting features in the Dragon Medical Practice Edition product. Some of these include: reduced latency, increased out of box and ultimate accuracy, expanded support for alternative input technologies, improved support for a number of EHR applications, and many many more. Here is a list of new features.
We anticipate this new product edition will start shipping towards the beginning of the month of September 2011. Current clients with Dragon Medical and Dragon Medical Small Practice with in force Maintenance agreements should be receiving the upgrade DVD automatically; we will follow-up directly with Distribution in this regard and advise as soon as additional information becomes available.
Current clients with Dragon Medical and Dragon Medical Small Practice version 9 & 10 will be able to upgrade for a cost of $599 per user license (this is the product list price, discounts may be available, please contact us for additional info on pricing).
New Dragon Medical Practice Edition customers will be able to purchase new licenses starting, and we are expecting a list price of $1599 (this is the product upgrade list price, discounts may be available, please contact us for additional info on pricing.)
